Onchan Silver Band is one of the longest established Brass Bands on the Isle of Man. Providing training, facilities, and entertainment across the Island since 1937.
Many musicians have set out on their journey at Onchan Silver Band, before using their talents to forge successful and varied careers across the globe.
In 2020 one of our own, David Karran, returned from his own international musical adventure to take up the baton at OSB.
Not only did David develop an enviable reputation as a Music Teacher, but his exploits in the Brass Banding world did not go unnoticed either.
Having played with some of the biggest and most successful names (most recently with the world-famous Brighouse and Rastrick Band), David is now looking to build a successful legacy back where it all began … at Onchan Silver Band.
The band are busy year-round at community events, promoting brass band music and entertaining audiences at a wide variety of events.

Training
For much of its 80+ years, OSB has taken great pride in training the next generation of brass musicians. In 2020 this process underwent a restructure and now offers the highest quality tuition in both 1 to 1 and group sessions to Manx residents.
